Sultan of Oman Orders Trade Increase With Iran
WANA (May 26) – Following war and the disruption of relations between Iran and the United Arab Emirates, Oman has become one of the main routes for Iranian trade, with the country’s highest authority issuing strict orders to grow trade with Iran.
The King of Oman has ordered the necessary measures to increase the volume of trade between Iran and Oman.
Oman has historically desired to attract a portion of Iran’s $25 billion trade with the UAE, and therefore views the opportunity arising after the war as the best possible timing.
Omani officials believe this opportunity may never happen for them again. Consequently, they have even replaced the heads of some of their bank branches to ensure that the work of Iranian traders is processed with greater speed.
