WANA (Mar 25) – The Deputy Head of the Tehran Province Emergency Management Organization has released a detailed report on the destruction of medical infrastructure and casualties among first responders following recent military strikes by the United States and the Israeli regime.

Esmail Farahani outlined the toll on emergency services since the onset of the conflict on February 28, noting significant losses to both equipment and personnel.

Heavy Losses to Emergency Fleet

According to Farahani, the emergency response infrastructure has been a primary victim of the recent hostilities. The reported damages include:

  • 21 Ambulances damaged in total.
  • 8 Ambulances completely destroyed.
  • 23 Emergency Bases sustaining severe structural damage.

Strike on Naziabad Emergency Base

Farahani detailed a specific incident occurring at 3:00 AM on March 06, where an emergency base located within a Crisis Management warehouse in the Naziabad neighborhood was struck.

“The base sustained such severe damage that it is no longer operational,” Farahani stated. At the time of the attack, the facility housed three “motorlances” (emergency motorcycles) and one ambulance.

Three emergency personnel present at the site were injured during the strike. The official noted that this specific base managed an average of 35 missions daily, serving a population of approximately 750,000 residents.

Fatality in Shahrak-e Esteglal

The Deputy Head also confirmed a fatality within the emergency service ranks. A staff member in Shahrak-e Esteglal, a neighborhood in Tehran, was killed due to the intensity of the bombardments.

“Tragically, one of our colleagues lost his life. He had only recently been married, and his death has left a profound grief in the hearts of all his coworkers,” Farahani said.
