Tehran Friday Prayer Leader: Any Mistake by Enemies Will Be Met with New Missiles
WANA (May 22) – Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader, Ali Akbari, issued a stern warning to adversaries today, declaring that any future military miscalculations against Iran would trigger a trans-regional conflict and the deployment of advanced, unforeseen weaponry.
Addressing worshippers during the weekly sermon in the capital, Ali Akbari emphasized that Iran’s armed forces are at their highest state of readiness, with “their fingers on the trigger.”
Expanded Conflict and Regional Retaliation
In a direct message to adversaries, the cleric asserted that the balance of power has shifted, leaving foreign powers with broken strategies and trembling hands.
“If you commit a foolish act, this time you will face a different Iran,” Ali Akbari warned. “You will not only experience new missiles that you never even imagined, but by God’s grace, the ominous Zionist regime will draw its final breaths.”
The prayer leader outlined the strategic consequences of any aggression against Iranian territory:
Trans-Regional Warfare: Instead of a localized conflict, any aggression will trigger a trans-regional war.
Maritime Chokepoints: In response to any attempts to restrict the Strait of Hormuz, the Bab al-Mandab Strait will also be closed.
Infrastructure Destruction: If Iranian infrastructure is targeted, a policy of “de-infrastructure” will be deployed against all regional allies supporting the enemy.
Economic Warfare and the “Jihad of Consumption Management”
Beyond military warnings, Ali Akbari addressed the ongoing economic pressures facing the country. He noted that adversaries have pivoted from conventional warfare to cognitive and economic operations, attempting to choke off Iran’s revenue streams through oil, banking, and trade sanctions.
He added that foreign actors are attempting to erode the nation’s economic resilience by promoting consumerism, luxury lifestyles, and utilizing internal elements to disrupt the public’s livelihood.
To counter this, the cleric called for a nationwide “Jihad of Consumption Management and Productivity.”
“Resource conservation is no longer just a moral recommendation or an individual virtue; it is a religious duty and a strategic necessity to protect Iran, disappoint the enemy, and overcome these challenges,” he stated.
Condemnation of Foreign Leaders and Vow for Retribution
The cleric declared that the discourse of “Western-worship” has permanently failed within the Iranian nation, as citizens now recognize the Western lifestyle as a tool for humiliation rather than a model for progress.
Ali Akbari concluded his sermon with a fiery condemnation of foreign leadership, specifically targeting U.S. President Donald Trump. Speaking on behalf of the congregation, he asserted that Trump would eventually meet his demise at the hands of the victims of global arrogance.
He reiterated that Iran’s pursuit of justice remains unyielding:
Open Files: The files seeking vengeance for every “martyr”—from senior leadership to school children—remain open.
Demands: Iran will firmly extract reparations and demand the full implementation of the conditions laid out by the Supreme Leader.
