Tehran–Tabriz Railway Reopens Following Restoration of Strike-Damaged Tracks
WANA (Apr 13) – Iranian transportation authorities have announced the successful restoration of the Tehran–Tabriz railway line, marking a significant milestone in repairing critical infrastructure damaged by recent missile strikes.
Following the completion of reconstruction and safety operations at two key points on the Mianeh–Zanjan axis, the strategic route has been cleared for full operation.
The project was finalized under the direct supervision of the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (RAI).
The route is scheduled to officially reintegrate into the national rail network with the passage of the Tehran–Van international train.
During a final inspection, the head of RAI specifically oversaw the installation of concrete bridge culverts and the stabilization of the track bed to ensure the route meets safety standards for international transit.
