WANA (Jul 07) – Mohsen Hormozi, Tehran’s deputy mayor for transportation and traffic, said that a total of 23.715 million passenger trips were recorded across the capital’s metro, bus and taxi networks during the three days of farewell and funeral ceremonies for Iran’s late leader, describing it as an unprecedented level of public transportation service in Tehran’s history.

 

He said no incidents or operational disruptions were recorded on the metro network throughout the events, adding that services were delivered safely and without interruption.

 

According to Hormozi, 14,638,833 passengers used the Tehran Metro during the three-day period, while the combined number of passengers transported by the metro, buses and taxis reached 23.715 million.
