WANA (Apr 09) – On the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a comprehensive address framing Iran’s recent military and diplomatic successes as the direct legacy of the late leader’s strategic doctrine.

A Unified Doctrine of Power

Ghalibaf explicitly rejected the notion of a divide between military operations and diplomatic efforts, asserting a unified approach to national interests.

“We do not believe at all in the separation of the ‘Field’ from ‘Diplomacy’; we have only one field, and that is the field of defending the rights of the Iranian people,” Ghalibaf stated.

The Speaker described the late leader as the “architect of Iran’s asymmetric warfare,” crediting his 37-year tenure for building a military paradigm based on “God-centeredness, people-centeredness, and self-reliance.”

The Strategy of Asymmetric Success

Reflecting on his time as the head of the IRGC Aerospace Force, Ghalibaf highlighted how the late leader prioritized indigenous production over foreign purchases. He noted that this strategy transformed Iran’s defense industries, allowing low-cost drones and missiles to neutralize advanced global defense systems.

Ghalibaf specifically pointed to the strategic utilization of Iran’s geography, stating that under the late leader’s guidance, the “potential capacity of the Strait of Hormuz was turned into a bomb exploding within the U.S. economy.”

Global Influence and National Unity

The message also addressed the “Resistance Front,” noting that the late leader’s culture of independence spread among both Shia and Sunni Muslims worldwide. This front, Ghalibaf claimed, is the primary barrier to “Zionist expansionism” and has voluntarily supported Iran in the recent conflict.

Concluding his message, the Speaker praised the “Iranian National War,” a movement he said is visible in the nightly gatherings of citizens in the streets. He described a nation united and “ready to guard the dignity and independence of Islamic Iran with their very lives,” standing firm against the “apparent hegemony of demons.”
