WANA (Nov 22) – Iran’s national women’s futsal team will face Brazil tomorrow in its opening match at the World Cup.

 

The inaugural Women’s Futsal World Cup kicked off on Friday with two matches hosted by the Philippines. On the first day, Argentina defeated Morocco 6–0, and Poland beat the host nation by the same score.

 

Today, the competition continues with Colombia playing Canada and Spain facing Thailand. Iran’s national women’s futsal team is also participating in the tournament and will meet Brazil, the world’s top-ranked team, tomorrow (Sunday) in its first match.

 

Brazil, which currently holds the number-one world ranking, is one of the main contenders for the championship.
