Third Israeli Attack on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant
WANA (Mar 28) – The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced that a projectile struck the premises of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant at 11:40 p.m.(local time) on Friday.
In a post on the social media platform X, the organization added that no casualties or financial or technical damage have been reported.
The Atomic Energy Organization emphasized that attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities constitute a clear violation of international law and pose a serious threat to regional security.
This marks the third time during the recent imposed war that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has been targeted by what it described as American-Israeli enemy forces.
The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is currently operational and contains significant amounts of radioactive material. Therefore, any damage to the facility could lead to a serious nuclear incident with irreversible consequences for the region.
