Thousands Protest in London Against U.S. and Israeli Attacks on Iran
WANA (Mar 08) – At least 5,000 people gathered in the streets of London on Saturday, calling for an end to Israeli and U.S. attacks on Iran.
According to the Metropolitan Police, around 5,000 demonstrators took part in the march across London, the capital of the United Kingdom, demanding that the attacks against Iran stop.
Participants marched from the Milbank area toward the U.S. Embassy while chanting slogans such as “We are the people, we will not be silenced” and “Stop the bombing now, now.”
A Metropolitan Police officer also reported that between 5,000 and 6,000 people attended the large demonstration.
This marks the second consecutive week that protesters have taken to the streets in support of Iran and in opposition to what they describe as military aggression by the United States and Israel.
The attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran reportedly began on February 28 and have continued since then. According to the report, the strikes resulted in the death of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, along with several military and defense officials.
