WANA (Jul 29) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Seyed Ali Khamenei, stated, Despite the enemy’s blindness, we will elevate Iran to the peak of progress and honor. The Iranian nation has this capability, and with divine assistance, will exercise and achieve it.

 

On the occasion of the 40th day of the the people who lost their lives in the 12-day war with the Israeli regime, a commemoration ceremony for these people was held today by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution at Imam Khomeini’s Hussainiya, with the participation of the their families, various segments of the public, and a number of officials.

 

In his speech during the ceremony, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic described this war as an expression of the will and power of the Islamic Republic and a demonstration of its uniquely solid foundations. Emphasizing that the main reason behind the hostility is the ill-wishers’ opposition to the Iranian nation’s faith, knowledge, and unity, he said:

 

“By God’s grace, our nation will not abandon the path of strengthening faith and expanding diverse sciences, and despite the enemy’s blindness, we will indeed be able to raise Iran to the summit of advancement and pride.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, once again offering condolences to the families of the military commanders, scientists, and beloved civilians who were killed in the recent war, stated:

 

“Beyond the great honors achieved during these twelve days—which the entire world now acknowledges—the Iranian nation managed to display its strength, endurance, determination, willpower, and readiness to the world in such a way that the power of the Islamic Republic was tangibly felt by all.”

 

He regarded the manifestation of the unshakable foundations of the Islamic Republic as another notable outcome of the recent war, and added:

 

“Such events are not unprecedented for us. Over the past 46 years, the Islamic Republic has not only endured an eight-year imposed war [Iran-Iraq war] but has repeatedly faced coups, various political, military, and security seditions, and attempts to incite weak-willed individuals against the nation—yet it has foiled all enemy conspiracies.”

 

The Leader of the Revolution described the foundation of the Islamic Republic as based on two pillars: religion and knowledge, saying:

 

“The people and youth of Iran, relying on these two pillars, have forced the enemy to retreat in various arenas, and will continue to do so in the same manner.”

He said the main reason for the opposition of global arrogance, especially “criminal America”, against the Islamic Republic is religion, knowledge, and the unity of Iranians under the banner of the Qur’an and Islam, and stated:

 

“What they raise as issues like nuclear activities, enrichment, and human rights are mere pretexts. The real cause of their discomfort and opposition is the emergence of a new discourse and the Islamic Republic’s capabilities in various scientific, human, technical, and religious fields.”

 

During the ceremony, several Qur’an reciters recited verses from the Holy Qur’an.

 

During this memorial ceremony, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who also participated, responded to the reporters and stated that no specific arrangements have been made yet for any upcoming negotiations. However, he emphasized that in every arena, including negotiations, Iran’s goal is to defend the blood of the “martyrs” and uphold the ideals for which they sacrificed their lives.
