WANA (Jun 23) – U.S. President Donald Trump indicated on Tuesday that the naval blockade against Iran would no longer be in effect, stating that negotiations with Tehran are progressing well.

 

Writing on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday, Donald Trump stated that despite protests and false statements to the contrary, coupled with what he described as negative media coverage attempting to downplay the U.S. victory, Iran had fully and completely agreed to the highest-level nuclear inspections long into the future, referring to the duration as “Infinity!!!”.

 

The President asserted that this arrangement would ensure “Nuclear Honesty,” adding that if Iran had not agreed to this condition, there would be no further negotiations.

 

Lifting of the Strait of Hormuz Blockade

According to the statement, President Trump stated that based on this condition and other major concessions being made by Iran, he had agreed to allow the Strait of Hormuz to remain open, with no further naval blockade.

 

However, he noted that all military ships would remain in place should it become necessary to reinstitute the blockade, though he added that such a scenario appeared highly unlikely at this point.

 

Escrow Conditions and Humanitarian Assistance

The President explained that the money and sanctions being released by the U.S. Treasury would go into an escrow account controlled by the United States.

 

He specified that these funds would be used exclusively for the purchase of food and medical supplies from the United States, explicitly mentioning corn, wheat, and soybeans from American farmers.

 

Describing the situation in Iran as a humanitarian crisis, Trump stated that he felt it was necessary to provide help immediately before it became too late. He concluded his message by reiterating that the talks are going well and thanked the public for their attention to the matter.

Additional Claims on Global Oil Traffic

In a subsequent, separate post on Truth Social, President Trump claimed that 19 million barrels of oil had exited the Strait of Hormuz the previous day, describing the volume as an absolute record. He further asserted that global oil prices are currently declining and declared that the world has become a significantly safer place.
