WANA (Jun 18) – U.S. President Donald Trump defended the recent agreement between Washington and Tehran following growing criticism over the release of its details, arguing that the deal had strengthened America’s position.

 

In a post on Truth Social, Trump pointed to what he described as the political and economic achievements of the agreement, writing: “Oil is flowing, Iran can never obtain a nuclear weapon (the world will be safe!), stock markets are booming at record highs, employment numbers are setting records, and prices are coming down.”

 

He also claimed that the United States is now “stronger, safer, and more respected than ever before.”

 

Trump’s remarks come as the publication of details surrounding the recent agreement with Iran has triggered a wave of criticism across the American political and media landscape. Some critics have described the deal as granting excessive concessions to Tehran, while supporters argue that it could help reduce tensions and prevent a broader escalation of conflict.

 

Trump had previously responded to critics by describing opponents of the agreement as “jealous, bad people, or stupid,” while continuing to defend his administration’s handling of the Iran issue.
