WANA (Sep 01) – US President Donald Trump has warned Iran against retaliating for recent American strikes on targets in southern Iran, saying that Tehran would not be able to withstand a further confrontation with Washington.

 

In a message posted on his Truth Social account, Trump called on Iran not to respond to the attacks carried out by the United States and threatened that any Iranian retaliation would be met with a “stronger and more powerful” response.

 

Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump said that if Iran retaliates against the recent US strikes, “it will not survive,” while also claiming that previous agreements with Tehran were not valuable and that Washington had given Iran “many opportunities.”

 

Trump also said that Iran had attempted to rebuild its radar capabilities and that the United States waited until the systems were “almost complete” before striking them. He described Iran’s actions in critical terms and argued that any potential agreement with Tehran was “not worth the paper it was written on.”

 

Meanwhile, reports indicate that several locations in Hormozgan Province were targeted in the latest strikes. According to the reports, a fishmeal factory on Qeshm Island, along with other civilian sites including a fishing dock and a Ports and Maritime Organization tower in Sirik, came under attack.

 

Field reports indicate that the strikes in southern Iran mainly targeted areas that had previously been hit. Initial reports said that no casualties were caused and that no major damage was inflicted on key infrastructure.

 

Several explosions were also heard in parts of Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, and Lavan Island. Local reports said the blasts were linked to US attacks on parts of Iran’s southern coastline, with initial assessments indicating no human casualties.

 

The latest developments come as tensions continue to escalate around the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy transit routes, where any further confrontation could have broader regional and international consequences.
