WANA (Feb 24) – The President of the United States has once again warned Iran, stating that while he prefers a diplomatic agreement, failure to reach one would have severe consequences for the country.

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Donald Trump dismissed recent media reports suggesting that General Daniel Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, opposes potential U.S. military action against Iran.

“Numerous stories are being published by the fake news claiming that General Daniel Caine — sometimes referred to as ‘Raizin’ — is against us going to war with Iran,” Trump wrote. “These reports do not attribute this vast amount of information to any source and are 100 percent incorrect.”

Trump further claimed that Iran’s nuclear program had been destroyed by U.S. B-2 bombers, though he did not provide additional details or evidence to support the assertion.

In his message, Trump praised General Caine as “a great fighter” and a representative of “the most powerful military in the world.”

He stated that Caine has never spoken against taking action toward Iran and had not commented on what Trump described as “limited fake strikes” reported in the media.

“He only knows one thing — how to win,” Trump wrote, adding that if ordered, the general would lead operations from the front.

Addressing reports of a potential war with Iran, Trump said: “Everything written about a possible war with Iran is false and deliberately wrong. I am the one who decides. I prefer that a deal be reached, but if no deal is made, that day will be a very bad day for that country and, unfortunately, for its people — who are great and wonderful people — because this should never have happened to them.”

In recent days, several U.S. media outlets, including Axios, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, have published reports discussing the possibility of escalating tensions or confrontation between Iran and the United States. Trump’s statement appears to be a response to those reports.
