WANA (Sep 01) – U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has continued to decline amid the ongoing war with Iran, falling to its lowest level yet at 32 percent. The figure comes despite Trump’s repeated claims that he ranks among the best presidents in U.S. history.

 

A new poll conducted by the University of Massachusetts and YouGov shows widespread dissatisfaction among Americans with Trump’s performance in office. According to the survey, around 64 percent of respondents disapproved of the president’s job performance, with 54 percent expressing strong disapproval.

 

The way Trump has handled the war with Iran has emerged as one of the key factors behind the decline in public support. The poll found that 68 percent of respondents believe Trump is not managing the war with Iran effectively, while only 25 percent said the conflict was being handled somewhat or very well.

 

The findings come as opposition to the war with Iran has grown among parts of the U.S. public in recent months, with criticism voiced both at protest rallies and across social media platforms.

 

Political analysts point to the broader consequences of the conflict, including economic pressures such as rising energy costs, higher gasoline prices and increased living expenses, as major drivers of public dissatisfaction with the Trump administration. The continued drop in the president’s approval rating is adding further political pressure on the White House over its handling of the crisis.
