WANA (Nov 29) – A Turkish media outlet, citing diplomatic sources, reported that Turkey’s Foreign Minister will travel to Tehran tomorrow for high-level discussions with Iran on bilateral cooperation and regional stability.

According to diplomatic sources, Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s foreign minister, will visit Iran on 30 November for senior-level talks focused on security, trade, and regional crises.

The Turkish network reported that Ankara says the trip will focus on strengthening institutional cooperation, expanding trade, and addressing regional instability from Gaza to the Caucasus.

Diplomatic sources added that Fidan is scheduled to meet with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, as well as other senior Iranian officials.

The talks are expected to concentrate on reinforcing the institutional framework of the High-Level Cooperation Council, reviewing preparations for the Council’s ninth meeting, and advancing joint efforts to deepen security cooperation and combat terrorism.

Fidan will also discuss accelerating the development of cross-border trade infrastructure and achieving the two countries’ shared goal of increasing bilateral trade to $30 billion.

Regional stability will feature prominently on the agenda, with Ankara emphasizing the importance of dialogue with Tehran on the situation in Gaza, developments in Syria, actions of the Israeli government in the region, and a peaceful resolution to Iran’s nuclear issue.
