WANA (Nov 01) – The 33rd edition of the Camerimage Film Festival in Poland has announced its full lineup, featuring two Iranian co-productions among its official selections. Camerimage, widely regarded as the world’s most prestigious festival dedicated to the art of cinematography, will be held this year in the city of Toruń, Poland.

 

The festival has added “In the Shadow” — directed by Salem Salavati and shot by Ali Veisi, an Iran–Sweden co-production — to the Debut Cinematographers Competition. Additionally, the feature documentary “All the Mountains Give” — directed and shot by Arash Rakhsha, an Iran–U.S. co-production — will compete in the Feature Documentary Competition.

 

Earlier, 13 films had been announced for the festival’s main competition (Golden Frog), including “The Sinners” (cinematography by Autumn Durald Arkapaw), “Hamnet” (cinematography by Łukasz Żal), and “Formula One” (cinematography by Claudio Miranda).

 

Other notable contenders include “A Complete Unknown” by James Mangold — a biopic about Bob Dylan shot by Phedon Papamichael — “The Dynamite House” by Kathryn Bigelow (cinematography by Barry Ackroyd), the historical drama “Nuremberg” directed by James Vanderbilt (cinematography by Dariusz Wolski), and “Springsteen: Save Me from Nowhere” by Scott Cooper (cinematography by Masanobu Takayanagi).

 

The 33rd Camerimage International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography will take place in Toruń, Poland, from November 15 to 23, 2025.
