WANA (Jul 24) – Iran’s Ministry of Health announced that U.S. airstrikes on the country between June 27 and 9:00 a.m. local time on July 23 left 55 people dead and 629 others injured.

 

According to Hossein Kermanpour, head of the Ministry’s Public Relations and Information Center, the injured include 46 women and 24 children and teenagers under the age of 18. Among those killed were six women and three children and teenagers under 18.

 

In a post on X, Kermanpour said that 52 surgical operations have been performed so far, while 36 of the injured remain hospitalized.

 

The figures represent the latest official casualty update released by Iran’s Ministry of Health regarding the U.S. airstrikes that began on June 27.
