WANA (Mar 05) – The Iranian Red Crescent Society has released an update on the ongoing attacks by the United States and Israel, outlining significant damage to civilian infrastructure and the humanitarian response efforts.

 

According to the report, 174 cities in Iran have been impacted by attacks, with a total of 1,332 strikes recorded across 636 locations.

 

Damage to Civilian and Residential Areas

The report highlighted that 105 civilian facilities have been severely damaged in the latest attacks. Affected areas include residential neighbourhoods in Maragheh, Urmia, Lamerd, Isfahan, Hamedan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and parts of Tehran such as Narmak, Shahid Keshvardoust, Qaem Residential Area, Shahid Boroujerdi Residential Complex, and Kowsar Residential Complex.

 

Damage to Red Crescent Bases and Rescue Equipment

The Iranian Red Crescent reported that 7 of its bases and branches have been damaged in recent attacks. Additionally, 3 Red Crescent rescue and ambulance vehicles in Tehran were also rendered inoperative.

 

Impact on Medical and Pharmaceutical Centers

The Red Crescent’s report also indicated that 14 healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities have been damaged, including:

  • Blood Transfusion Center in West Azerbaijan,
  • Taleghani Hospital in Urmia,
  • Minab Health Clinic in Hormozgan,
  • Shahidan Sarpol-e Zahab Hospital,
  • Shahidan Persian Gulf Hospital in Bushehr,
  • Gandi Hospital and Shahid Motahari Burn and Trauma Hospital in Tehran.

 

Also affected were Ameneh Orphanage, Disability Care Center in Tehran, Khatam-al-Anbiya Hospital, Shahid Rajai Hospital, Ghazal Minor Surgery Center, and Abidi Pharmaceutical Company.

 

Red Crescent’s Ongoing Relief Operations

Since the start of the conflict, 1,748 specialized rescue teams comprising 6,370 volunteers have participated in relief and search-and-rescue operations. Furthermore, 1,479 operational vehicles have been deployed to assist in disaster relief and logistical support in the affected areas.

 

Continuous Humanitarian Support

The Iranian Red Crescent emphasized that emergency relief, temporary housing, psychological support, and medical services are ongoing without interruption in the affected regions. The organization’s full range of human, technical, and logistical capacities remains on standby.
