U.S. Arrested Iranian Scholar from University of Oklahoma
WANA (Nov 24) – U.S. Border Enforcement authorities have detained Dr. Vahid Abedini, an Iranian lecturer at the University of Oklahoma’s College of International Studies.
The arrest has been linked to an alleged visa expiration; however, available reports indicate that his visa remains valid for another year, casting serious doubt on the stated justification.
Dr. Abedini currently teaches at the University of Oklahoma and previously served at the University of Arkansas. He is regarded as a prominent expert in political science and international relations.
