WANA (Jun 23) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Sunday that the United States’ formal entry into the conflict signals Israel’s failure in its confrontation with Iran, warning that Washington would receive a response that would make “the gambler Trump” regret any aggression against the country.

In his opening address during today’s parliamentary session, Ghalibaf stated:
“The delusional U.S. President has finalized his strategic blunder by officially entering the war in support of the Zionist regime’s criminal gang. By doing so, he has formally declared America’s partnership in the war against Iran.”

Ghalibaf continued: “It has long been evident that the United States has been an inseparable part of the Zionist regime’s military apparatus since day one. Yet, the brave resistance of Iran’s armed forces and the unified support of our people have thwarted the Israeli-American military scheme against the Iranian nation. This compelled the delusional U.S. President to once again expose his deceptive face and, despite all anti-war campaign slogans, enter the war officially.”

He added: “In other words, the direct and formal involvement of the U.S. in the war indicates Israel’s inability to fight Iran alone. While we view this attack as a sign of the regime’s strategic failure in achieving its goals, we will not tolerate it. We will certainly respond in a way that makes the gambler Trump regret his aggression toward our beloved Iran.”

U.S. Strikes on Nuclear Sites Are Acts of War Against Iranian Soil

Ghalibaf emphasized that attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities are tantamount to attacks on its territory, stating:

“The U.S. attack on our nuclear centers is considered an assault on Iranian soil. History clearly shows that Iran will never tolerate any incursion into its territory. Ensuring national security and preserving territorial integrity require that any aggressor be made to regret its actions — so that no one dares to fantasize about Iran’s sovereignty in the future.”

He added: “We view the U.S. attack on our nuclear sites as a blow to one of Iran’s most strategic opportunities in peaceful nuclear technology — a capability that has helped elevate Iran from a dependent country to a key player in the emerging global order.”

Zionist Regime and U.S. Pose the Main Threat to Muslim Nations

Ghalibaf also stated that the Islamic Republic has achieved not only battlefield victories but also a strategic triumph: “Today, through its powerful and restrained conduct, the Islamic Republic has demonstrated to Muslim nations, justice-seeking peoples, and governments around the world that Iran is not a threat to regional security, contrary to all the media hype. Rather, it is the Zionist regime — backed by the U.S. — that constitutes the main danger to the security of all Muslim countries.”

He added: “Everyone now understands that Iran poses no threat to neighboring Muslim nations. Instead, Iran has entered a confrontation with the number one enemy of the Islamic world to strengthen unity among Islamic nations. Politicians, thinkers, and leaders of Muslim countries now see Iran as the first line of defense against the territorial expansion goals of the Zionist regime — from the Nile to the Euphrates — and no one can be certain which Islamic country will be their next target.”

Salute to the People of Iran

Addressing the Iranian public, Ghalibaf said:
“Once again, I bow my head in reverence to the people of Iran — from all ethnicities, religions, and political leanings — who, with unmatched awareness and courage, have preserved national unity at this historic moment. I hope we, the officials, can fulfill our duty to them.”

He concluded his remarks by honoring the memory of a fallen colleague: “I extend my congratulations and condolences to the family of our dedicated and selfless colleague, Martyr Reza Buselik, and to all members of the Parliament. May God grant him and all martyrs the highest stations in paradise.”

Throughout Ghalibaf’s speech, MPs repeatedly chanted “Allahu Akbar” and “Death to Israel.”
