WANA (Jun 18) – Amid continued attacks on Hormozgan Province, several key transportation routes in the region were targeted by U.S. fighter jets, resulting in the closure of the Bandar Abbas–Hajiabad route until further notice.

 

According to reports, Shahid Mirzaei Tunnel, located at kilometer 45 of the Bandar Abbas–Hajiabad road near the Glogah area, was hit in the attack. Following the incident, both lanes of the route have been closed until further notice.

 

In addition, the Shur Bridge along the same route and another bridge on the road from the Minab Three-Way Junction toward Rudan, located beyond the Sarzeh intersection, were also targeted.

 

Authorities have advised drivers to avoid unnecessary travel, use alternative routes where possible, and stay away from affected areas to help facilitate the work of emergency and service teams.

 

Further details regarding the extent of the damage and the timeline for reopening the affected routes will be announced after additional assessments.
