WANA (Jun 04) – The United States House of Representatives passed a resolution early Thursday morning aimed at forcing President Donald Trump to withdraw the U.S. military from hostilities against Iran. Lawmakers approved the measure in a 215-208 vote, after receiving support from four Republican representatives.

U.S. media outlets reported that the resolution will have a limited immediate impact and will not be legally binding on the administration without passing the Senate.

However, commentators emphasized that this marks the first successful House vote to restrict Trump’s war powers regarding the Iran conflict and future military actions without congressional approval.

This development follows an earlier move on May 20, when U.S. senators voted 50-47 to advance a similar proposal aimed at limiting the president’s military authority against Iran.
