WANA (Jun 13) – In protest against the Israeli regime’s aggression against Iran, the head of the U.S. Interests Section in Tehran was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Following the blatant violation of Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty by the Israeli regime—including its brutal attacks on several locations in Iran such as the Natanz nuclear facility, military sites, and residential buildings that led to the killing and injury of senior military commanders, university professors, and innocent Iranian women and children—Nadine Lozano, the Swiss Ambassador to Tehran who represents U.S. interests in Iran, was summoned by Eisa Kameli, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General for the Americas.

During the meeting, Kameli conveyed Iran’s strong condemnation and deep protest over Israel’s aggression and the U.S. support for it. He described Israel’s military attack against Iran as a grave crime that violates all international norms and the United Nations Charter. Referring to the long-standing U.S. support for the Israeli regime, he underlined that the U.S. bears full responsibility for the dangerous and far-reaching consequences of this adventurism.

The Iranian official warned that any U.S. military support for the Israeli regime, including actions that prevent Iran from exercising its legitimate right to self-defense, would be unacceptable. He stressed that such acts of aggression could not have occurred without U.S. coordination, collaboration, or at least a green light, and therefore the United States must be held accountable for its unlawful behavior.

The Swiss Ambassador pledged to promptly convey Iran’s message to the U.S. government.
