WANA (Apr 01) – Officials in Isfahan reported that American and Israeli forces have carried out a second attack targeting major steel facilities in the region.

According to Akbar Salehi, Deputy for Security and Law Enforcement at the Isfahan Governor’s Office, the Mobarakeh Steel Company in Mobarakeh County was struck again.

He described the attack as “brutal” and confirmed that assessments of casualties and financial damage are still ongoing. Further details are expected to be released later.

This follows an earlier strike on March 27, when parts of the facility’s power infrastructure and steelmaking workshops were hit. That attack resulted in one fatality and 16 injuries, and caused damage to sections of the complex, including its 914 MW and 250 MW power plants.

In a separate development, authorities in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province reported that portions of the Sefid Dasht Steel Industrial Complex were also targeted in an airstrike by U.S. and Israeli forces at the same time.

Investigations into the full extent of the damage and casualties at both sites are ongoing.
