WANA (Jul 20) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in its Statement No. 32 that it had carried out the 22nd wave of Operation Nasr 2, claiming to have struck several U.S. military facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

 

According to the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the operation resulted in the complete destruction of a U.S. early warning radar system. The statement further claimed that a hangar housing MQ-9 drones and a warehouse containing aviation equipment and spare parts at Ali Al Salem Air Base were also hit. The IRGC additionally asserted that several drones were set ablaze during the attacks.

 

The statement said the operation was conducted under the codename Yarqiyeh (PBUH) and described it as a response to what it called repeated U.S. attacks against Iranian territory.

 

In a separate section of the statement, the IRGC criticized the presence of U.S. military forces in Kuwait, arguing that American bases in the country have been used to support military operations in the region. It also called on the people of Kuwait to oppose the continued presence of U.S. forces on their soil.
