WANA (Apr 20) – The spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has issued a formal statement regarding recent maritime hostilities in the region:

“The aggressor United States, in violation of the ceasefire and through maritime banditry, targeted one of Iran’s commercial vessels in the waters of the Sea of Oman.”

He added: “By firing upon the vessel and disabling its navigation system, they committed an act of aggression by deploying a number of their terrorist marines onto the deck of said ship.”

The spokesperson further warned: “The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon respond to and retaliate against this act of piracy and armed robbery by the U.S. military.”

Attack on the “Touska” and Drone Counter-Strikes

According to reports, U.S. military personnel attacked an Iranian container ship named the Touska—which was en route to Iran from China—in the Gulf of Oman hours ago.

Following the American assault on the vessel, Iranian forces launched drone attacks against several U.S. naval ships. While President Trump claimed a short time ago that the U.S. has seized the ship, Iran had previously announced that it would reciprocate any American action.

Total Closure of the Strait of Hormuz

Simultaneous with the U.S. declaration of a naval blockade against Iran, Iranian forces have completely closed the Strait of Hormuz.

Tehran has officially stated that any ship or tanker passing through the region without Iranian authorization will be “punished” by Iranian forces.
