U.S. Treasury Imposes New Sanctions on Iran
WANA (Aug 07) – The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the imposition of new sanctions on Iran.
According to a statement released Thursday night, the Treasury Department has targeted seven Iranian individuals and eleven entities with fresh sanctions.
In its statement, the department accused Iran of evading sanctions and claimed:
“Iran has no hideout left as a result of the maximum pressure campaign. The United States will also continue to disrupt Iran’s plans to circumvent sanctions.”
These new measures mark another step in Washington’s ongoing pressure campaign against Tehran.
