UKMTO Reports Maritime Incident East of UAE
WANA (Jul 21) – The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported a maritime security incident involving a vessel 17 nautical miles east of the coastal city of Dibba, United Arab Emirates.
According to the agency, the ship’s captain stated that the vessel sustained damage from an unidentified projectile, resulting in damage to its navigation system.
The maritime body provided no immediate further details regarding the type of projectile used, the identity of those responsible, or the operational status of the remainder of the ship.
