WANA (Jun 13) – In the early hours of Friday morning, sources reported the alleged assassination of Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), during an attack on the IRGC’s General Command Headquarters.

At the same time, reports emerged of multiple explosions heard across Tehran.

Meanwhile, the Israeli regime’s Minister of Defense has issued an emergency order declaring a state of alert on the home front in the occupied territories—an action officials say is in response to “serious threats from Iran and the Axis of Resistance.”

Israel Katz, the regime’s Minister of Intelligence, also warned that a missile and drone retaliation from Tehran is “very near” following preemptive strikes by the Israeli military on targets inside Iran.

Some reports have also mentioned the possible presence of several high-ranking Iranian military and scientific figures at or near the site of the explosion, including:

Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff, along with his family

Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, and his family

General Rabbani, a senior IRGC commander, with his family

Dr. Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, President of Islamic Azad University, with his family

Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi, nuclear scientist

Dr. Zolfaghari, nuclear expert

Dr. Jafarnia, aerospace specialist

As of now, the assassinations of General Hossein Salami and General Gholam-Ali Rashid have been confirmed by official Iranian news agencies.
