WANA (Mar 19) – U.S. authorities have detected unidentified drones flying over Fort McNair, a military base in Washington where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reside.

 

According to reports, the drones were seen flying above the officials’ residences, and their origin remains unknown.

 

The incidents have prompted officials to consider relocating Rubio and Hegseth, although a senior government official stated that neither has been moved so far.

 

The sightings come amid heightened alert levels in the U.S. military due to escalating tensions involving United States and Israel in conflict with Iran, with authorities closely monitoring potential threats.

 

The Pentagon and the State Department have not responded to requests for comment. Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell declined to address the drone reports, citing security concerns and calling detailed reporting on the matter “highly irresponsible.”
