University of Tehran Wins World Landscape Architecture Award
WANA (Dec 01) – The University of Tehran team has made history by winning first place in the Honor Awards category at the 2025 World Landscape Architecture Awards.
For the first time, a team from the Middle East and Iran has received this prestigious global recognition. The team members—Reza Farhadi, Maryam Noroozi, Amir Rahsaz, Hangameh Ghasemi, and Mahshid Del Avar—competed under the guidance of faculty advisors Dr. Hossein Mansourian, Dr. Keramatollah Ziari, and Dr. Alexandra Dolich.
The global competition saw participation from 161 university teams representing over 30 countries.
Previously, the University of Tehran team also achieved first place and the Excellence Award at the 2024 World Landscape Architecture Olympiad in the United States, and second place at the 2023 IFLA World Landscape Design Competition.
