WANA (Jul 19) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces have initiated a new wave of airstrikes inside Iran under presidential direction.

 

According to CENTCOM, the operation is designed to degrade Iran’s capability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and to swiftly penalize Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces following attacks on U.S. service members in Jordan.

Following the announcement, the Hormozgan Governor’s Office reported that a location near the coastal town of Sirik was targeted by a U.S. military strike at 1:30 AM local time.

 

Concurrently, unconfirmed reports emerged of loud explosions heard across the major port cities of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Lengeh. While provincial authorities confirmed hearing the blasts, they stated that there are currently no verified reports of direct missile impacts or airstrikes in those specific urban areas.

 

U.S. Military Strike Near Hajiabad

Meanwhile according to the latest reports from Bandar Abbas, a location near Hajiabad was targeted by a U.S. military strike at 2:10 AM local time.

 

No civilian casualties or damage to residential and commercial infrastructure have been reported following these new U.S. strikes near Hajiabad.

 

Bandar Abbas has reportedly faced multiple rounds of U.S. airstrikes over recent days, causing visible damage to the city’s infrastructure.
