WANA (Jul 18) – Multiple explosions and missile strikes have been reported in several regions across Iran, including Yazd, Ahvaz, Southern Larestan, Darab, and Sirik, in what local officials and state media are describing as an coordinated military action by United States forces.

In the midnight hours, at least five consecutive explosions were heard in suburban districts surrounding the city of Yazd.

 

Local residents in the outskirts also reported hearing the distinct sound of fighter jets operating overhead at the time of the blasts.

 

While the exact impact locations within the province have not yet been determined, security officials have urged citizens to avoid speculation and rely exclusively on official state media outlets for verified updates.

 

Missile Strikes Target Outskirts of Ahvaz

Simultaneously, a missile attack targeted areas on the periphery of Ahvaz. The Security Deputy of the Khuzestan Governorate confirmed the development, stating that locations surrounding the city were struck by what he designated as hostile US forces.

 

Preliminary field reports indicate that the sounds of the impacts were concentrated near the Ahvaz-Andimeshk highway.

 

Initial Kinetic Strike Documented in Sirik

These developments follow an earlier kinetic strike conducted near the coastal city of Sirik at approximately 23:27 local time.
