US Offers $15 Million Reward to Disrupt Iran’s Financial System
WANA (May 12) – The US State Department has announced a reward of up to $15 million for information leading to the disruption of the financial mechanisms of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Through its “Rewards for Justice” program, the US State Department announced it will pay up to $15 million to individuals who cooperate with the country to disrupt the IRGC’s financial structures.
Simultaneously, the US Department of the Treasury claimed yesterday, Monday, that it has sanctioned 3 individuals and 9 entities which, according to them, were involved in the sale and transfer of Iranian oil to China. These entities include 4 in Hong Kong, 4 in the UAE, and one in Oman.
These actions are a continuation of the Trump administration’s so-called “Economic Rage” campaign against Iran, while the Americans themselves admit that such measures have so far failed to force Iran’s economy off its path of development and engagement with international partners, and are primarily psychological and media-driven in nature.
