WANA (Sep 01) – Amid escalating security developments, reports indicate that several locations in southern Iran have been targeted in US attacks, while Iranian forces have launched missiles and drones toward enemy positions.

 

According to released reports, a US projectile struck an area outside the runway of Jiroft Airport in Kerman Province. The Deputy Governor of Kerman for Security and Law Enforcement Affairs said the incident caused no casualties and did not damage the airport’s runway or buildings.

 

Reports also indicate that a non-military area in Bandar Kuhestak, located in Sirik County in Hormozgan Province, was targeted in an attack. Further details regarding the incident are still being investigated.

 

In an update, the Deputy Governor of Hormozgan for Security Affairs said the US attack targeted a residential building and a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak, Sirik. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene immediately after the incident, and further details are expected to be released.

 

In Asalouyeh County, the local governor reported that an explosion was heard in the area. Eskandar Pasalar said the sound of an explosion was reported at around 8:10 p.m., adding that investigations are underway to determine the details of the incident. No reports of possible casualties or material damage have been released so far.

 

Meanwhile, field observations by reporters indicate that Iranian missiles and drones have been launched toward enemy positions. Further information regarding the targets and outcomes of these operations will be announced later.
