US Strikes Southern Iran; Explosions Reported in Bandar Abbas, Larak, Konarak, and Chabahar
WANA (Jul 13) – Following U.S. strikes on southern Iran, multiple explosions were reported on Monday night in the city of Bandar Abbas, Larak Island, and the southeastern cities of Konarak and Chabahar. Air defense systems were also activated in Bandar Abbas.
According to local reports, two powerful explosions were heard in Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan Province, while air defense units responded to the attack. Larak Island in the Persian Gulf and areas around Konarak in Sistan and Baluchestan Province were also targeted by U.S. missile and air strikes, with at least four heavy explosions reported in Konarak.
Residents of Konarak and Chabahar, both located in southeastern Iran, also reported hearing six loud explosions. However, the exact locations of some of the blasts have not yet been confirmed, and security forces are continuing to investigate the incidents.
Local sources said that despite the attacks, the situation in the affected areas is currently calm, with no further explosions reported at this time.
