WANA (Jul 19) – The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that two U.S. service members were killed, one remains missing, and four others were injured following Iranian missile strikes on American military bases in Jordan on Friday.

 

According to the statement, the wounded personnel have been evacuated to local Jordanian hospitals for treatment.

 

This development follows an earlier report by Fox News, which stated that at least 13 U.S. service members had been injured in a series of recent Iranian attacks targeting American military installations across Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

In his initial reaction to the fatalities in Jordan, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed deep sorrow over the incident, noting how deeply saddened he was by the loss.

 

When asked by a NewsNation correspondent regarding his reaction to Iran’s declaration that it would no longer adhere to the memorandum of understanding, Trump dismissed the development, stating that it did not matter to him at all.

 

Furthermore, regarding the deaths of the two American service members in the strikes, Trump characterized the incident as highly tragic and expressed profound regret over the situation, emphasizing that the fallen troops were actively serving the country at the time of the attack.
