WANA (Mar 02) – In less than 48 hours, the United States has reached out to the United Kingdom for assistance, seeking to use British military bases to counter Iran’s missile threats.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed the request and stated that London has agreed to provide support.

Pressure from Gulf States

The Prime Minister also noted: “Our partners in the Gulf have asked us to take further measures to protect them.” While the UK has already participated in recent defensive operations in the region, this new move could signify an expanded military role and deeper involvement in regional tensions.

Analysts warn that British bases in the area could become potential targets for Iran.

Saudi Arabia’s Push for Action

Reports indicate that over the past weeks, the United States has faced repeated pressure from Saudi Arabia to launch an attack on Iran. Concerns are rising over escalating tensions and the potential risks to regional security.

Recent developments highlight that the Gulf crisis, shaped by close coordination between the US, the UK, and their Arab allies, has reached a critical and sensitive stage.
