Velayati: Ceasefire Marks U.S. Strategic Failure; Iran Emerges as Pivot of “Islamic Pole”
WANA (Apr 08) – Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, has described the recent ceasefire as a forced concession by the United States and a clear indicator of Washington’s “strategic failure” in the region.
In a series of statements posted on social media, Velayati asserted that the Islamic Republic’s military readiness remains at its peak.
He issued a sharp warning to what he termed the “Hebrew-Arab-American front,” stating that any violation of the ceasefire or “calculative error” would be met with a decisive and deterrent response from Iran’s armed forces.
The senior advisor further contextualized the conflict within a shifting global landscape, suggesting that the international system is moving away from unipolarity.
“In the new geometry of power in the world and the movement toward a multipolar order, Iran is no longer merely a country; rather, it plays a role as the pivot of the Islamic pole,” Velayati stated.
