The Collapse of the White House Illusion

Velayati stated that “Trump’s foolery and antic behavior” cannot hide the reality of current global shifts. He cited specific examples of what he described as the “dashing illusion of the White House,” including:

 

  • The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Germany.
  • The weakening of NATO.
  • Repeated technical problems occurring in U.S. warships.

 

Response to Threats Against Iran

Addressing recent threats from Donald Trump regarding “famine” in Iran, Velayati characterized these comments as a sign of Trump’s “unawareness of the world.”

 

He noted that world food security and the supply chain for chemical fertilizer are under the control of Iran in the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that such threats are disconnected from the reality of Iran’s strategic position.
