WANA (Mar 22) – Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, has sharply criticized remarks attributed to U.S. President Donald Trump, warning against threats targeting Iran’s power infrastructure.

Velayati described Trump as an “imprudent president” who has threatened the Iranian people by suggesting strikes on the country’s electricity infrastructure.

He also called on Arab leaders in the region to take action, urging them to make it clear to Trump that the Persian Gulf “is not a place for gambling,” and to prevent the region from descending into instability and widespread power outages.

Trump had earlier warned: “If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various power plants, starting with the biggest one first.”
