WANA (May 05) – Recent maritime navigation data indicates that no vessel traffic has been recorded in the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours, leaving this strategic waterway effectively devoid of commercial transit.

According to the data, only one cargo vessel has been trackable within the strait, which is reportedly Iranian-owned. This comes shortly after U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that Iran does not have control over the Strait of Hormuz.

However, field reports from mariners suggest that compliance with regulations announced by Iran in the area is being strictly observed, and vessels are exercising extreme caution regarding any potential violations.

In this context, Bloomberg has reported that approximately 400 commercial ships have gathered near Dubai within a newly designated zone announced by Iran, while the Strait of Hormuz itself remains nearly empty.
