WANA (Apr 01) – The Iranian Red Crescent Society, in a statement providing statistics on the Ramadan war damages, announced that more than 115,000 civilian units have been damaged or destroyed in recent attacks.

A significant portion of this figure pertains to Tehran province, highlighting the extensive damage to residential, medical, educational, and even humanitarian facilities.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent’s official website, the statement reads:

  • Since the start of the Ramadan war and the Zionist-American attacks on Iran on February 28, a total of 115,193 civilian units—including 91,498 residential units and 22,580 commercial units—have suffered severe damage or have been completely destroyed.
  • Of these, 44,391 civilian units are located in Tehran province, reflecting the scale of attacks on the capital.
  • Thanks to the efforts of Red Crescent rescuers and their rapid response within less than five minutes, 1,526 compatriots have been rescued from under the rubble. With timely and specialized intervention by Red Crescent teams, 810 of these individuals were rescued alive and transferred to medical centers.
  • Contrary to all international laws, pharmaceutical, medical, healthcare, and emergency centers were also affected, totaling 316 facilities.
  • In addition, 763 schools and educational centers, along with 18 Red Crescent centers, were either directly hit and completely destroyed or severely damaged by the attacks, rendering them unusable. This underscores that the enemy’s aggression targets more than just military sites.
  • In these attacks, besides innocent women and children, 15 emergency responders were injured, and three were martyred.

Given the critical importance of the “golden hour” for saving lives from under the rubble, all citizens are advised to:

  1. Report the exact locations of enemy attacks to the Red Crescent via the emergency number 112.
  2. Avoid gathering at the strike sites and keep the area clear for operational and rapid-response teams.
  3. Fully cooperate with operational teams at the affected locations and emergency sites.
