Wave 60 of “True Promise 4” Launched in Retaliation for Soleimani Killing
WANA (Mar 18) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the implementation of the 60th wave of the “True Promise 4” operation, describing it as retaliation for the killing of Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani.
The IRGC’s Public Relations Office stated in an official announcement that the “60th wave” of Operation True Promise 4 was carried out targeting what it described as centers of aggression against Iran at U.S. regional bases and in Israeli-controlled territories. The statement said the operation was conducted as a combined and “impact-focused” mission under the code name “Ya Qamar Bani Hashem.”
The announcement added that missile and drone strikes targeted U.S. military bases in Al-Azraq, Al-Udeid, Al Dhafra, Ali Al Salem, and Al-Kharj. These strikes reportedly used long- and medium-range systems, including solid- and liquid-fuel missiles such as Emad, Qiam, Zolfaghar, and Dezful, as well as cruise missiles and loitering drones.
It further stated that the Ashdod air support and refueling center, along with the Rafael military and defense industries support center, were targeted using Emad and Ghadr missile systems.
The statement concluded that the killings of several Iranian Basij members would not weaken what it described as a large-scale mobilization force, adding that military actions would continue until what it called “the aggressors” cease their actions.
