Wave 63 of “True Promise 4”: Iran Signals Naval Readiness Amid Strikes
WANA (Mar 19) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has announced its full readiness to confront any potential threats in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, as the sixty-third wave of the large-scale “True Promise 4” operation unfolds.
In an official statement, the IRGC reported that key targets linked to U.S. forces in the region—including the Al Minhad, Al Dhafra, and Al Adidri helicopter base, as well as Mina Salman, home to the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters—were struck and destroyed in a series of combined missile and drone attacks.
The statement noted that command buildings, fuel storage facilities, and equipment hangars at Al Minhad base were effectively hit. Early warning radar systems and the central ramp at Al Adidri base were also targeted using ballistic missiles.
Additionally, Al Dhafra Air Base and the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Mina Salman reportedly sustained heavy damage from drone strikes as well as cruise and ballistic missile attacks, with critical infrastructure such as fuel depots and radar systems severely impacted.
In a separate development, the IRGC stated that military positions in southern occupied territories were targeted during the same wave of operations. According to the statement, a single multi-warhead Qadr missile struck and destroyed sites used by Israeli forces.
The IRGC further emphasized that the escalation into targeting energy-related infrastructure came in response to attacks on Iran’s own energy facilities. It stated that oil installations linked to U.S. interests in the region were set ablaze as part of retaliatory operations.
The statement underscored that Iran had not initially intended to expand the conflict to the energy sector, but was compelled to do so following what it described as hostile actions by opposing forces.
Issuing a warning to the United States and its allies, the IRGC declared that any further attacks would be met with more severe responses, including broader strikes on energy infrastructure associated with its adversaries.
The IRGC Navy concluded by reiterating its readiness to defend Iran’s territorial waters and to respond decisively to any threats in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
