WANA (Mar 01) – Following the assassination of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the General Staff of the Armed Forces issued a statement stressing that it will decisively make the enemies of the Iranian nation—especially the criminal United States and the accursed Zionist regime (Israel)—regret their actions through strength, resolve, and the support of the noble people.

 

In the wake of the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief, the General Staff of the Armed Forces released the following statement:

 

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

 

Among the believers are men who have been true to the covenant they made with God; some of them have fulfilled their vow, and some still await, and they have not changed in the least.

 

The General Staff of the Armed Forces, together with the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, offers its condolences and sympathies to the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah on the martyrdom of the eminent leader and Guardian of the Muslims of the world, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (may God be pleased with him).

 

The priceless legacy of that leader and guide of the world’s free people remains a guiding light for the brave and heroic nation of Iran and for the avenging armed forces.

 

The memory of that steadfast fighter continues to be a source of guidance and a pillar of national unity, and his sacrifice and perseverance inspire all servants of pure Islam and those who stand against oppression.

 

We will, with strength, steadfastness, and the support of the honorable people, make the enemies of this nation—especially the criminal United States and the accursed Zionist regime—regret their actions, and we will continue along the path of that wise and powerful leader to the last drop of blood and until the enemies surrender.
