What Pezeshkian Wrote in the UN Guestbook
WANA (Sep 26) – The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who has traveled to New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the organization’s headquarters and signed the UN guestbook.
In his written note, Masoud Pezeshkian stated:
“On 23 September 2025, we participated in the UN summit together with the Iranian delegation, at a time when the Zionist regime was blatantly violating all UN regulations and international human rights organizations, ignoring the officials of this body and related institutions, while the United States was fully supporting the regime’s crimes.”
Pezeshkian added:
“I hope that the key members of the United Nations will be able to establish mechanisms that allow the organization to enforce its laws effectively across the world.”
On Wednesday morning local time, on the second day of the 80th General Assembly session, the Iranian president addressed world leaders and senior representatives, outlining the views and positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, before holding bilateral meetings with several counterparts.
Immediately after his speech at the General Assembly, Pezeshkian met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the UN headquarters.
The Iranian president also held talks with the presidents of Switzerland and Finland, the President of the European Council, the Prime Minister of Norway, as well as a number of anti-war activists at his residence. On Thursday local time, he also met with Bolivian President Luis Arce Catacora.
