WANA (Jul 31) – A few days ago, regional sources reported that two vessels were targeted by a drone attack in the Egyptian port of Damietta. American media and sources, including The Wall Street Journal claimed that Iran played a role in these attacks.

 

Nevertheless, Iran officially announced that the Damietta port incident has no connection to the Iranian Armed Forces. Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, also emphasized that this attack was a false flag operation; meaning it was carried out by another party, but points the finger at Iran!

 

But why does this attack have no connection to Iran?

 

Whenever Iran has targeted a location, it has announced it quickly and courageously. Therefore, since Iran announces every attack carried out against American bases or interests in various Persian Gulf countries or Jordan, had it been involved in this attack as well, it would have announced it with bravery and candor.

 

According to sources in the armed forces, attacking US interests in Egypt was fundamentally not on Iran’s agenda or within its strategy.

 

The US and Israel have clearly been unable to achieve their goals against Iran, particularly in removing the Strait of Hormuz from Iran’s control. On the other hand, they have failed to bring many other countries along with them in their aggressive campaign against Iran.

 

Therefore, they have set their goal to portray the Islamic Republic as a threat to the countries of the world, especially the region, and particularly all Arab countries. For this reason, through false flag operations against certain countries, they are trying to attribute this issue to Iran.

 

Specifically, Israel has a long history in this regard, and for this reason, some investigations indicate that the attack on the Egyptian port was the work of the Israeli regime.

 

“Expand the problem you couldn’t solve!”  This is a strategy for the US and Israel in war, which dictates that if you haven’t solved an issue, expand it to the extent that it affects everyone.

 

It seems that the attack on the Egyptian port by Israel falls under this very strategy.
