WANA (Dec 16) – The 16th Exclusive Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, titled Iran Agrofood, was inaugurated in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, with the participation of Abbas Aliabadi, Iran’s Minister of Energy, alongside ambassadors, diplomats, and officials from both countries.

 

During the event, the Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan read a message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan.

 

Following this, Minister Aliabadi highlighted the significance of enhancing ties through platforms such as the Iran Agrofood Exhibition, expressing optimism that the event would foster greater economic collaboration between the two countries.

 

The exhibition features over 62 Iranian companies showcasing their capabilities in agricultural machinery, agricultural products, food production, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation systems, packaging, and trade. Senior Iranian officials, including deputy ministers from the Ministries of Energy, Petroleum, and Agriculture, also participated in the event.

 

The opening ceremony was also attended by senior officials, including Atageldyyev, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers; Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Speaker of the National Parliament of Turkmenistan; and numerous business representatives and economic activists from both nations.

 

After the inauguration, attendees toured the Agrofood exhibition to explore the showcased products and technologies. The exhibition will remain open to visitors until December 18.
